I've been playing with the yarn from my sock club; three goes with some sock patterns and I discovered that there was a bit of a pooling issue in my sock size. So I went trawling on the Ravelry Small Shawl Lovers group and found Nikolai - it's a narrow garter-stitch shawl with a lace border, no dull long rows, and perfect for taming variegated yarns.
Here's a pic of the scarf so far;
A little bit of dashy-ness, but it's already evening out as the scarf gets bigger.
The yarn is a 100% merino high-twist, name of Wisteriosis, from yarnscape and boy it's luscious!
